Kylie ‘Kozza’ Zikarsky
Austswim accredited Teacher and Bronze Level Swim Coach.
Swimming is truly Kozza’s passion, she believes learning to swim in a safe, consistent, nurturing and fun environment is the key to a successful program.
Her love of the Ocean and pool is something she encourages everyone to share. She is the USC Spartans Junior coach and a member of Maroochydore Surf Life Saving Club. She is often at the beach teaching children and adults to body surf and enjoys taking part in Oceans swims, Ski paddling, Surfing and running.
Kozza competed at an elite level in Surf Life Saving she was a competitor in the Meadow Lea and Uncle Toby’s ironwoman series. She competed in several World Championships and in 1996 was a member of the winning team in South Africa.
She competed internationally in the Triathlon World Cup and Ironman events.
She also competed internationally in Ocean swimming and was the winner of the prestigious ‘Cole Classic Ocean Swim’ in Sydney.
Kozza continues to compete in Masters in Surf Life Saving and in recent years has won numerous State and Australian Championship medals including the Coolangatta Gold. She was also named QLD State Master competitor of the year.
She is a dedicated Mum of four who is community minded, each year Kozza, her family, friends and members of the Kozzaquatics community join together to participate in the Island Charity Swim to raise money for the Nambour and Currimundi special schools. This is one of the highlights of the year for all involved.
